Stephen M. Robertson
Stephen M. Robertson is the Vice President of Corporate Affairs for The Eastland Oil Company, and its affiliated entities. He is the sole in-house legal and corporate affairs executive for this privately held family-owned oil and gas company which has a Permian Basin focus. In this role, he oversees legal, human resources, compliance, corporate governance, and land/title functions, and manages external communications, stakeholder relations, government advocacy, and public relations.
Beyond his professional life, Stephen is active in the community through civic and charitable organizations. He serves or has served on the board of directors for Centers for Children and Families, the MOTRAN Alliance, the Midland County Public Library Foundation, the Midland Chapter of the Texas Exes, and as an Ex Officio Member of the Midland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He serves or has also served as a member of the Texas Tech University School of Law Energy Law Advisory Council, the Permian Basin Water in Energy Conference Advisory Board, TxDOT’s Permian Basin Freight Plan Advisory Committee, the Permian Basin MPO Policy Board, the Midland College Bruno Hanson Environmental Excellence Advisory Committee, the Midland College Petroleum Professional Development Center Advisory Committee, and the Phyllis and Bob Cowan Performing Arts Series Advisory Committee. Stephen was named one of Midland Magazine’s 20 under 40 emerging leaders, is a 2026 Class Member of Midland Leadership Engage, and is an alumnus of the Texas Lyceum, a stewardship association focused on developing the next generation of leaders across Texas.
Stephen received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and his law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law with a Certificate of Law and Science in Oil and Gas.
