Caleb Tash
Caleb Tash brings nearly two decades of engineering, operations, and sustainability leadership to the forefront of the energy industry’s most pressing resource challenges. Currently serving as Chief Operations Officer at Element3 Resources in Midland, Texas, Caleb is uniquely positioned at the intersection of operational execution and environmental stewardship — two disciplines central to advancing produced water reuse in the Permian Basin and beyond.
Prior to joining Element3, Caleb spent over eleven years at Diamondback Energy, rising to Vice President of Sustainability & HSE. In that role, he led cross-functional teams in achieving landmark emissions reductions while navigating complex regulatory environments and advising the company’s Executive Team and Board of Directors. He pioneered energy infrastructure initiatives, such as the first large-scale in-field power generation project of its kind in the contiguous U.S. and securing the first SMR nuclear power agreement among E&P operators.
Earlier in his career, Caleb held operations and facilities engineering roles at ExxonMobil and SM Energy, building deep technical expertise in Permian Basin production systems — knowledge directly applicable to the water management demands of high-volume unconventional operations.
Caleb holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University and an MBA from the TCU Neeley School of Business. His blend of technical depth and strategic vision makes him a compelling voice in the future of produced water reuse.
