Bill Curry
Bill Curry is the technical team lead for injection and seismicity research in the ExxonMobil Technology Company. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University, all in geophysics. Bill joined ExxonMobil in 2008, initially focusing on seismic imaging and signal processing research for exploration and development prior to his current role.
Bill is a listed inventor on five patents and over 20 publications and conference abstracts, including an honorable mention for best paper in the journal Geophysics in 2010. He is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the American Geophysical Union, the Seismological Society of America, the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers, the American Rock Mechanics Association, the National Association of Parliamentarians, and is a licensed professional geophysicist in Texas.
Bill serves on the advisory councils of the Stanford Center for Induced and Triggered Seismicity, the Caltech Geomechanics and Mitigation of Geohazards consortia, and his children’s primary and middle school, where he is currently president. His hobbies include cooking followed by eating.
