Max Wright
Max Wright is a long-time Midland civil trial attorney with extensive experience in both oil and gas and personal injury litigation who practices with the Shafer, Davis, O’Leary & Stoker, P.C. firm in its Midland office. His undergraduate degree is from Southern Methodist University and he holds graduate degrees from Sam Houston State University (M.A.) and the University of Texas School of Law (J.D.). Max is licensed in both Texas and New Mexico. He is board-certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Max is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education events on topics involving jury selection, risk management in the healthcare professions and ethical issues confronted by attorneys.
Max currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, is the National Board Representative for the American Board of Trial Attorneys, is a member of the Criminal Justice Advisory Council at Midland College, is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Petroleum Museum and has also served on several committees for the State Bar of Texas. He has been involved with the Permian Basin Water in Energy Conference since its inception.
