Landgraf, Shelby Headshot

SHELBY LANDGRAF

Shelby leads the Permian Basin Water In Energy Conference for The University of Texas Permian Basin, serving as executive director and overseeing strategic initiatives.

She is experienced in stakeholder management and communications, having more than a decade’s worth of experience in broadcast journalism. Over her media career, she led significant breaking news coverage, wrote hundreds of articles, and delivered countless hours of local news to West Texans – serving most recently as the main anchor for CBS7.

A proud West Texan, Shelby grew up a “military brat,” living across the U.S. and in Europe. Throughout the moves, Texas was always one constant with deep family roots in the Lone Star State. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication and Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

Shelby, and her husband, Brooks live in Odessa with their young daughter. Shelby enjoys giving back to her Permian Basin community by volunteering with Ector County ISD and serving on the Ellen Noël Art Museum board of trustees.
